Until I was seventeen, I wanted to be a veterinarian. One great English teacher, a season as a scorekeeper and countless hours of ESPN later, I knew I would work in sports.  I attended Florida State University, majored in Communication, and found my comfort zone while standing in front of a camera. I’m ready to bring my dedication, plus the skills I gained as a reporter for FSU and Sun Sports, to you. I pack plenty of personality into my five-foot frame.  In one feature I even held my own with the Seminoles' seven-foot-one center, Solomon Alabi.  I graduated cum laude in May 2009 with my B.A. in Communication, emphasis in Mass Media Studies, and a minor in business.

Today, my main focus as a writer is my blog Cowbell Clankers-the home for Tampa Bay Rays coverage on the Aerys Sports network.  If you'd like to read what I have to say in 140 characters or less, you can find me on Twitter by clicking here

I gained a unique perspective on sports growing up as an athlete and daughter of a baseball coach.  When my dad coached the Florida Air Academy Falcons, I cheered from the stands as a kid named Prince launched bombs long before he became king of the 2009 Home Run Derby.  I am ready to move from the stands to the sidelines.  My experience, commitment and ambition make me an ideal candidate for a job in sports.
